SME chapter 099 is a student driven professional organization that provides students with information about manufacturing careers, new innovative technologies, processes and practical work. We provide students with the knowledge and opportunity to put into practice what is taught in the classroom.
Our organization is dedicated to advance students awareness of Manufacturing and Engineering. This site is designed to provide current SME members and those interested in becoming members of our organization with extensive information about the Manufacturing Field. It is also a site to spread information about meetings, events etc to current and prospective students.
SME strongly encourage students that are serious about their field of study to join. We provide information about the hiring market, and we have strong MMET recruiters come talk at our meetings. This provides an opportunity for students to talk to industry and network for future job applications. Joining SME is also strongly advised by faculty.
